Food historian's hand-carved spoons featured in new exhibit
More than 60 hand-carved spoons and hand-thrown pottery created by Professor of History Ken Albala are on display in the Reynolds Gallery at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
Albala, who specializes in food history, began carving about two years ago.
"I became a spoon carver completely accidentally and started using wood from my own front yard and from the neighborhood and from trees that have fallen on campus ... It's been a lot of fun," Albala said.
"Spoon: A food historian learns to carve" is on display through March 15. The Reynolds Gallery is located on Pacific's Stockton Campus at 1071 W. Mendocino Ave. and is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
