Adjunct professor and alumnus Chris Micheli publishes seven books in two years

In just the past two years, Chris Micheli, 鈥�92, has translated his extensive knowledge and experience developed based on his many years navigating California鈥檚 Capitol to publish seven books on California鈥檚 legislative and regulatory processes. His most recent book, "Insiders Talk: Guide to Executive Branch Agency Rulemaking: Policy, Procedure, Participation, and Post-Promulgation Appeal" was published in July 2021.
Micheli is a long-time adjunct faculty member in , teaching Lawmaking in California and class sessions as part of McGeorge鈥檚 . He also teaches in McGeorge . He is also a principal at the Sacramento-based government affairs firm Aprea & Micheli.
鈥淚 was inspired to write these books because of my work as an adjunct professor at McGeorge,鈥� Micheli said. 鈥淚 wanted to make sure students have resources to assist them in the Capital Lawyering Program and share my knowledge and experience with future colleagues. I have been fortunate to have had several valuable mentors over the years, and now it is my turn to do the same.鈥�
The books cover virtually every aspect of law and policymaking via the California state government. Six of the seven books are the first of their kind. Micheli has published:
